Global Market Experience, Long-Term Investment Focus

Robert Szeles, CFA, serves as Portfolio Manager and Analyst at Beese Fulmer. As a member of the firm’s investment committee, he provides investment recommendations within the healthcare sector and helps guide the firm’s disciplined approach to portfolio management.

Areas of Focus

Bob works with individuals, families, and institutions to develop customized investment strategies tailored to each client’s financial goals and circumstances, including:

• Portfolio construction using individual stocks and bonds
• Tax-aware investment planning and estate considerations
• Risk management and long-term spending analysis
• Institutional investment strategy and relationship management
• Communication of investment philosophy and portfolio strategy
   

Bob also supports the growth and development of Beese Fulmer’s institutional investment segment, working closely with organizations and their consultants to clarify the firm’s investment process, research philosophy, and long-term approach.

Personal

Bob lives in Richfield, Ohio, with his wife, Lindsay, and two children, Coleman and Blake.  In his free time, he enjoys exploring the metro parks with his family, playing golf, and competing in triathlons.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining Beese Fulmer, Bob spent nearly a decade on an international equity team at PNC Capital Advisors and, following the firm’s 2019 acquisition, at Federated Hermes. As a Senior Investment Analyst, he supported three global equity mutual funds and conducted investment research throughout Europe, meeting with company leadership teams, central bank representatives, and geopolitical experts to evaluate long-term business and market trends.

Bob also worked closely with product management and sales teams to better understand institutional client needs and support new mutual fund launches. During his time with the team, assets under management grew from $400 million in 2013 to $1.7 billion in 2021 through product expansion, enhanced marketing support, and a strong focus on client needs.
